About the Book :

I take great pleasure in presenting this book of “Elements of Commercial Geography – II” to the students of F.Y.B.Com. (Sem. − II) of the University of Pune. This book has been written in accordance with the new syllabus w.e.f. June, 2019.

Students of Commerce should have a sound knowledge of Elements of Commercial Geography. In the strict sense, this subject deals with Industry and Economic Development, Trade, Transport and Communication, Tourism and Hospitality. Cartographic Techniques of Data Representation and Maps. The purpose of this book is to provide a short account of these activities of man and their relationship with different geographical, economical, historical factors and commerce.

These economic activities of man include manufacturing, trade, transportation and tourism etc. The economic development of any country depends largely on these activities.
