About the Book :

We are very glad to present this book ‘Electrical Estimation & Costing’, which is written as per the syllabus for IVth semester Electrical Engineering Group for SBTE. This subject ‘Electrical Estimation & Costing’ includes different types of electrical installations, electrification of residential, commercial and industrial installations and testing of installations. It deals with different methods of load calculations, determination of conductor size, switches, main-switches, etc. and methods of preparing schedule of materials, their costing. It includes methods of preparing estimates with labour charges, contingencies, etc. and in the last chapter it deals with methods of calling tender, and making contracts, and systems for execution of work.
While writing this book, utmost efforts are taken to fulfil all the requirements of the students regarding the examination based on the syllabus. We hope students will appreciate the book. We have made an honest attempt to put the content of the subject in simple way, with number of illustrative examples mostly from MSBTE examination solved step-by-step in this book ‘Electrical Estimation & Costing’, and hope almost all students and teachers will accept this book of us as before.
