We take this opportunity to present this book, entitled as A Text Book of “Hydraulics” to the students of polytechnics preparing for Second Year Diploma in Civil Engineering Group according to New Revised Syllabus of SBTE Jharkhand for Semester IV.
The object of this book is to present the subject matter in a most concise, compact, to the point and lucid manner. Every care has been taken to check mistakes and misprints. Yet it is very difficult to claim perfection. I am anxious to hear from current adopters of the text to ensure that the text fulfils their needs and is as technically, scientifically accurate as possible. A separate appendix comprising the possible oral questions have been added in this new edition.
