आपल्याकडं आता दोन प्रकारचे वाचक आहेत. एक शहरी वाचक आणि दुसरा ग्रामीण वाचक. ग्रामीण भागातल्या लोकांना काही शहरी शब्द परिचयाचे नसतात आणि शहरी लोकांना ग्रामीण शब्द परिचयाचे नसतात. ‘स र वा’ हा शब्द शहरी लोकांच्या माहितीचा नाही. कोरडवाहू जमिनीत भुईमूग, हरभरा, गहू असलं पीक निघाल्यावर काही शेंगा जमिनीत राहतात; काही लोंब्या, काही घाटे राहतात. ते वेचणं म्हणजे ‘स र वा’ वेचणं. ज्यांना धान्याचं मोल फार कळलेलं असतं, ते ‘स र वा’ वेचतात. नाटक, कादंबरी, लघुकथा, ललित लेख यांचं पीक निघाल्यावर लेखकापाशी ‘स र वा’ पडलेला राहतो. तो वेचण्याची चिकाटी दाखवावी, असं मी म्हणत होतो. जे काही गोळा झालं, ते म्हणजे पसा-कुडता. त्यात दाणे निघतील, खडे-मातीही निघेल. सरव्यात हेही येतंच.
