About the Book :
It gives us an immense pleasure to publish this text book on the course entitled Literary Criticism – II for T.Y.B.A. (Semester VI) students of University of Mumbai, as per the revised syllabus (Choice Based Credit System with effect from the academic year 2018-19). This book has been written in a simple language keeping students’ point of view which will encourage their better comprehension.
Considering the vast area that University of Mumbai covers, we attempted to keep the language and style as simple and lucid as possible and decided to provide notes and brief summary of the literary movements, critical approaches and practical criticism based concepts prescribed. This book has been divided into four units dealing with literary movements, critical approaches and practical criticism. We are sure that this book will help in the smooth transition to the graduation level of the students.
